So my friend Kata came up with a lot of different reasons for why she decided to de-activate her facebook account. And she is the one that talked me into starting an account on facebook in the first place, years ago, when I was still a college student at URI, thinking that one day I would be a journalist! Or at least a writer. I’ll probably never be a reporter but what do you need to be a writer? Just a computer and an audience, right?
Sidenote: what are the two things needed to make theater? Actor and an audience (when I was a teen I wanted to become an actress more than anything and I took lessons from one of the best actors in Reykjavik, material for a whole’nother story).
In any event, I find myself spending more time on facebook than I care to donate towards not working on anything productive, such as trying like a motha’ to write something every day.
Which brings us to where we are now. I’m in between jobs, going from restaurant to restaurant trying to get a job waitressing here, there and everywhere because that’s all I know how to do (maybe) but seriously I’m willing to consider ANYTHING (besides pedicures, cutting meat, cutting fish, wiping asses (especially old ones), giving showers, prostitution, working overnight, lifting anything heavier than 20 lbs (maybe I could 30) so if any of you all know of ANYONE who is hiring for any kind of job.
Tell me!
Most of you even have my cell phone number! And if not, ask for it!
